The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted with the conduct of University of Delhi Entrance Examination 2021  for Admissions to Entrance based M.Phil/Ph.D Courses.The online registeration has been started for 26th july and can  fill form till 21st August 2021. The exam will contuct from 26th september to 1st october 2021.

 SCHEME OF EXAMINATION

 Mode of Examination -  LAN Based CBT (Computer Based Test) 

 Duration                        - 2 Hours

 Type of Questions          -   Multiple Choice Question

 Number of Questions      -50 Marks per question 4 (four) for each correct response 

Scoring                             -1 negative marking for incorrect response 

Medium of Paper- English only (Language courses may have exception)  


SYLLABUS FOR THE TEST 

The syllabus for the entrance examination of each M. Phil./Ph.D. Programme is the corresponding M.A./M.Com/M.Sc. (or equivalent) syllabus of the University of Delhi or/and as given on the respective Department‘s website. 

 Entrance Examination 

• There shall be a common entrance examination for both M.Phil. and Ph.D. Programmes. If a candidate wishes to apply in both the Programmes offered by these Departments, they can do so by selecting both the courses in the same form.

Registration fee (non-refundable) for the written examination is the following: 

SC/ST/EWS/PwD Rs. 300/- 

Unreserved and OBC Rs. 750/- 

Important points-

a. Candidate may please note that Admit Cards will not be sent by post. 

b. In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for DUET 2021would be issued at the Examination Centres. 

c. Candidate must not mutilate the Admit Card or change any entry made therein. 

d. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition for future reference. 

e. No Admit Card shall be issued to the candidates whose Applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/ doubtful photographs/unsigned Applications) or who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria for the examination. 

f. Issue of Admit Cards, however, shall not necessarily mean acceptance of eligibility which shall be further scrutinized at subsequent stages of admission process.

The Examination City Centre, once opted, shall not be changed. Please check the admit card carefully for your Name, Subject Group, Date of Birth, Gender, Examination Centre Name, City, and Category, etc. In case of any problem related to Admit card, please connect to official helpline number

Candidates MUST bring the following documents on the day of examination at the test centre:-

A. Print copy of Admit Card downloaded from NTA website .

B. One passport size photograph (same as uploaded on the Online Application Form) for pasting on the specific space in the attendance sheet at the Centre during the Examination. 

C. Any one of the authorized Govt photo IDs (original, valid and non-expired), viz. PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ Aadhaar Enrolment No/ Ration Card. 

D. PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority, if claiming the relaxation under PwD category .

Interview

The admission to the programme is through an entrance test, which results in the shortlisting of the candidates for the interview. It may be noted that certain Departments may have mode of evaluation other than Interview.It may be noted that after the entrance examination, certain Departments may opt to have a second test prior to interview for the candidates shortlisted on the basis of the entrance test.

Equivalence Criteria 

  • The Departments/Centres of the University may ask the candidates concerned, wherever necessary, to get recognition/equivalence of their degrees/ diplomas/ certificates authenticated from the Association of Indian Universities/University Grants Commission/AICTE/Council of Boards of School Education in India (CBSE) on his/her own for the purpose of admission in the Department/Centre. Further, the cases of equivalence of degrees / certificates / diploma may then be put up before the University Authorities for further consideration and confirmation. However, the Certificates / Diplomas/ Degrees already recognised/equated by the University may not be referred for further verification. 
  •  Relaxations/Concessions • The candidates belonging to the categories under reservation shall be charged entrance examination fee at concessional rates. • The candidates belonging to the categories under reservation shall have 5% relaxation in the minimum marks requirement in the eligibility criterion for admission to M.Phil./Ph.D. Programmes. 
  •  Reservations • Reservation to the prescribed extent shall apply in compliance with the rules notified by the University. • Supernumerary seats shall be available as per the University rules.
